Foreign nationals can request a potential tax number from any tax office (interactive tax office for individuals) with a passport or residence permit. In addition to the potential tax number, the foreign person must also determine a delivery address. In any case, the bank will communicate with the relevant person through this delivery address. The tax number, passport, and delivery address are mandatory requirements for opening an account, and some banks may also request a mobile phone number obtained from Turkish operators.
